October 31, 2009 MSABC Mall-to-Mall Walk

The raindrops might have fallen during the walk, but it was a Beautiful Day nonetheless. The Krewe du YaYas raised $22,900.25 for the event and exceeded their $20,000 goal for 2009.

Over 500 Breast Cancer Survivors and over 6,000 participants walked from University Mall to Cordova Mall, generated more than $325,000, exceeding both the event's goal and last year's fundraiser of $275,000. All the money goes to breast cancer research, education, advocacy and service. What a Beautiful Day!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is more than just the name of a walk; it describes the progress we're making in the fight against breast cancer. Nothing can describe the hope that is inspired by walking with others who share a passion for ending this disease. Because nearly everyone has been touched by breast cancer in some way, hope for a world without the disease starts with us.
